Kendriya Vidyalaya, Nellore has started on 13.09.2010 with Classes I to V in the premises of RSR Municipal high School campus, Tadikala Bazar, Stonehousepet, Nellore.

It is no longer correct to regard education solely as a privilege. It is a basic right in today's world. Implementation of the Right to Education Act has brought about a sea change in Kendriya Vidyalayas with twenty five percent of seats in Std I being allotted to those students who may not otherwise have had a chance to join a K.V. The Parents of such children who have gained admission already feel a sense of accomplishment. That's because KVs provide many avenues for the growth of a child in various spheres and this is absolutely essential in today's competitive world. The decision makers of tomorrow are molded in our educational institutions. Hence they should be provided opportunities to explore, learn and accomplish.
